ELEVATED RISK

This level means there is a significant risk of attack. The
Department of Homeland Security has received
information that there is a chance of terrorist action
against an American target.

The government and law enforcement authorities are in a
highened state of preparedness. Surveillance of critical
infrastructure components is increased.
