SEVERE RISK
When the Department of Homeland Security raises the
security posture to this level, credible information has been received that terrorist action is almost assured to occur against a certain target.
This is the highest level of security. Public safety agencies
will be heavily used and will be dependant on assistance and cooperation from the communities they serve.
The government may be required to close certain public and
government facilities and may restrict certain unneccesary travel.
Should you ever see this level used, refrain from any
unneccesary travel. Do not overuse any emergency services. In other words, don't call 911 to inquire what is happening. To return to the Security Tips Page . . . |
