MEETING
MINUTES
December 20, 2001
CARNEY
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Due
to the lack of a quorum at the scheduled starting time, the CIA was not able to
conduct any official business.
Officers
present were: President Chip Trageser, Vice President Romi Shah, Secretary
Marilyn Ryan and Recording Secretary Joanne Krause. Absent were Treasurer Mary Eck and Sergeant at Arms Meg
O'Hare.
Distinguished
guests were Councilman Vince Gardina and State Delegate Jim Ports.
Treasurer's
Report:
There
was no treasurer's report.
Committee
Reports:
A.
Nothing new to report on the Veterans' Memorial
B.
Zoning for the Escalante property to revert back to residential
C.
Raffle tickets available for the weekend getway to the Eastern Shore
D.
Success of the 3rd annual tree lighting - Oak Crest has made a sign to be
used next year to announce the date/time of the tree lighting.
E.
The need to amend the by-laws concerning dues and elections
F.
Easter Egg hunt tentatively scheduled for March 23, 2002
Ruth Baisden, GPCC, reported on the Harford Road Streetscaping project
Councilman
Gardina spoke about the redistricting efforts and answered questions about
various issues of concern to the members.
Drawing
was held for $25.00 gift certificate donated by Poor Boy's Country Market.
Winner was Pat Sollanek and $19.00 was raised.
At
this point, Sergeant at Arms Meg O'Hare arrived and a quorum of members was
present. The meeting was officially
opened with the reading of the previous meeting minutes by Marilyn Ryan.
Motion to approve by Pat Rooney; seconded by Mike Rupp; motion approved.
President
Trageser presented certificates of appreciation to those who participated in the
3rd annual treelighting. Pat
Sollanek won the $25.00 gift certificate to Poor Boy's.
Meredith Jessup, custodian, was also given a certificate of appreciation
along with a $40.00 gift certificate to the Charred Rib Restaurant.
Motion
to adjourn was made by Pat Rooney, seconded by Mike Rupp; motion passed.
